10,000 Strong: Sign our Petition for rBGH-free Milk
Say, "Thanks for healthier milk."
May 2008
Due to the growing consumer demand for healthier milk, retailers across the nation are moving to artificial growth hormone-free milk. Chipotle, Kroger, and Wal-Mart are the most recent stores to join the trend by supplying rBGH-free dairy products. Let's keep that a growing trend -- sign our petition to thank them and to encourage others to do the same.
Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone, known as rBGH or rBST, is a genetically engineered hormone that is injected into cows to make them produce more milk. Besides the documented increase of infections in dairy cows injected with rBGH, which necessitates increased use of antibiotics, there are ongoing questions about links to cancer in humans.
Help us grow the demand for healthy milk. Sign our petition and pass it around (we are over half-way to our goal of 10,000 names!). A strong show of support for healthier milk and dairy products will also be valuable in our future advocacy efforts with other dairy retailers who have yet to go rBGH-free.
